Premixed Calcium hydroxide paste containing iodoform with improved radiopacity and antimicrobial effect.

This is premixed oil based calcium hydroxide paste containing iodoform. The addition of iodoform to calcium hydroxide improves radioopacity and improves disinfecting property of the paste. Non Hardening paste, solubilized calcium hydroxide remains active in root canal for a longer time.

• Preparation:
  • Ensure the treatment area is clean and free of debris.
  • Isolate the tooth to keep it dry, minimizing moisture exposure.
• Application Site:
  • For direct pulp capping, gently remove any decay and expose the pulp, if necessary.
  • For indirect pulp capping, prepare the cavity and leave a thin layer of dentin over the pulp.
• Mixing:
  • If applicable, mix Prevest Calplus according to the manufacturer’s instructions to achieve a uniform consistency.
• Application:
  • Using a suitable applicator or instrument, apply the Calplus directly to the prepared site. Ensure even coverage over the area needing treatment.
• Setting:
